it's been a while

hey there everyone! i'm alive!!!

take some crazy busy days, some colds, some major allergies, some time off and the usual chaos and mix it all together and well? you don't get a helluva lotta time to blog.

i do have to say though that things seem to have taken a (knock on wood) turn for the more mellow and uneventful. i've also changed my focus and realized that i can't control the stupid factor, so i just enjoy the innocence factor with the 3 rugrats and all is well with the world.

seems that the pink twin is going to be the lucky recipient of major allergies. the past week she has been snotting and her eyes have been red, itchy, watery and very sensitive to the sunlight. we can't even play outside that long before she has an attack. mom got her claritin (although i mentioned she may want to talk to the doctor because i am positive she will need something more powerful) and it doesn't seem to be doing much. over the weekend, they got her some amoxicillin for some reason and are hoping that will kick it. my guess is it won't. but, we'll wait and see over the next 10 days, won't we?

all 3 kids are majorly into the musical "annie" right now. big sis sings the songs and pretends to be in scenes from the movie all the time. both of her little sisters have started to sing "tomorrow" which sounds something like this:
  • ma-whoa. ma-whoa. uv u ma-whoa. DAAAAAAAAAY AAAAAAAAAAAA WAAAAAY!
it's pretty damn cute. they are also now pros at singing "happy birthday" and "twinkle twinkle". speaking of that, here is some cute vocab as of late:
  • tinkle star: stars
  • dibble dops: raindrops
  • booboofull: beautiful
  • buddy: buddy (we discussed how buddies are friends, so they tell me that their sisters are their buddies)
  • cocky goldgolds: chocolate goldfish
  • pokey dots and stipes: polka dots and stripes (and they know the difference)
  • bapple pie: apple pie
  • keepies: hair clips
  • poppies: pony tails

Just found your blog. Definitely enjoying your anecdotes. The vocab list is absolutely adorable. It reminds me of some of the children I've cared for...one girl referred to the local trolley as "Charlie". I kind of miss that. Looking forward to more posts from you!
